About
Steven Tsia is a Vancouver-based sound designer working across film, spatial audio, and immersive installation art.
His work spans foley artistry and mixing for narrative film to 4D spatial audio design for live installations. A background in both audio and visual media informs how he approaches every project, from the first frame to the final mix.
Steven is currently collaborating with Audio Essentia collective on DEPTHS, a 32 speaker visual-audio installation combining spatial technology with Indigenous wisdom traditions. The project utilizes 4DSound, Pro Tools, and QLab to create multi-sensory experiences at Lobe Studios and touring venues.
A graduate of Vancouver Film School's Sound Design program and a semi-finalist in the Airwiggles Sound Design Competition, Steven brings formal training and hands-on production experience to every project, applying the same attention to the craft whether working independently or within a full production team.
